Anchored in the Qur'an

Join us each week for our Online Tafsir Reflections as we journey through Juz 'Ammah, reflecting on the meanings, lessons, and guidance found within the final chapters of the Qur'an. Together, we will explore the deeper meanings of each verse, strengthen our connection with Allah ﷻ, and learn how to apply the Qur'an’s timeless wisdom to our daily lives. Whether you are new to studying Tafsir or have studied before, all sisters are warmly welcome. Allah ﷻ says: "˹This is˺ a blessed Book which We have revealed to you ˹O Prophet˺ so that they may contemplate its verses, and people of reason may be mindful." (Surah Sad 38:29) The Prophet ﷺ said: "The best of you are those who learn the Quran and teach it." (Sahih al-Bukhari)

Teacher

Dr. Zehra Seyhan

Zehra Seyhan is a neuroscientist, Islamic studies scholar, educator, and community leader. She completed her Islamic studies in Türkiye and later earned a Bachelor of Islamic Studies through Charles Sturt University.

Dr. Seyhan holds a PhD in Neuroscience from the University of Wollongong, where she also worked as an academic and researcher. Her unique background allows her to engage audiences at the intersection of faith, education, family wellbeing, and contemporary scientific thought.

A mother of four, Dr. Seyhan is actively involved in community development and currently leads Haya Nest Playgroup at Guildford Mosque, supporting young families and fostering faith-centred early childhood engagement.

Through her work in academia, Islamic education, and community service, Dr. Seyhan seeks to inspire meaningful connections between knowledge, spirituality, and everyday life.

This class is for women strictly ages 14 and above.

Can my son listen in?
