About

What Equilibrium is

Equilibrium is a national wellness conference for Muslim women, curated to help you align your worldly goals with your faith, give meaning to what you have been tested with, and prepare for success in this life and in the greater journey of the hereafter.

It began in Melbourne in 2023 and comes to Adelaide for a single day at the Town Hall. Ten speakers answer from where they actually work: psychology, nutrition, counselling, social work, the arts and Islamic education. The thread running through all of it is ihsan, excellence, and what that looks like on an ordinary Tuesday rather than in theory.

A catered day, for sisters eighteen and over, in the middle of the city.

Wellness, without leaving your deen at the door

Most wellness advice arrives with its own worldview attached. Eat this, think that, put yourself first. Some of it is useful and some of it quietly asks you to hold your faith at arm's length while you follow it.

Equilibrium starts from the other end. The speakers are qualified in their fields, psychologists, a nutritionist, counsellors, a social worker, and they are Muslim women who take the deen seriously. So the advice arrives already reconciled. Nothing to translate, nothing to leave at the door.

That is the whole reason for the day, and the reason people come back to it in a different city each year.
