About

What every Muslim needs to know about taharah

Purification comes before salah, and its rulings are ones every Muslim needs to be sure of. In one evening, Mufti Asad Ali Shah goes through the Islamic requirements when purifying one's self: purification when using the bathroom, purification for salah, and purification from major impurity.

The session includes a Q&A, so bring the questions you have been meaning to ask. It is open to both brothers and sisters.

Topics covered

Three areas of purification

  1. Purification when using the bathroom

Istinja and the etiquette of relieving oneself

What is required of you to be clean after using the bathroom.

  2. Purification for salah

Wudu and what salah asks of you

What needs to be in place before you stand to pray.

  3. Purification from major impurity

    Ghusl

What major impurity is, and how one is purified from it.

Is this for you?

This is for you if

  • You want to be sure your wudu and your ghusl are valid

  • You learned the basics as a child and have never gone back over them
