Ticketing

Sell the seats to your program.

Free, paid or donation. One order can carry several tiers, the room cannot be oversold, and the money lands in your own account.

Three kinds of ticket

Priced how the gathering actually works.

Free

No card taken and no fee. Somebody books, gets a ticket by email, and holds a place.

Paid

A price you set, taken by card through Stripe and paid into your own account.

Donation

A suggested minimum you choose. Set it to zero and it becomes pay what you can.

How many of each tier exist, and a ceiling for the whole programA name and a short description on each tier, in your own wordsWho each tier is for: sisters only, brothers only, mixed or familiesTurn a tier off without deleting it, and reorder themReadable links, so a concession tier is ?concession=1 rather than a UUID

Capacity

The room cannot be oversold.

The seat count is held in the database, not in the page. When two people reach for the last two seats at the same moment, the second one is told there is one left rather than both being sold the same chair.

Seats are held from the moment a booking starts, not only when it is paid, so a card sitting in 3-D Secure does not lose its place.

A count appears once twenty or fewer remain, and the tier closes itself when the last one goes.

Checkout

Seats, details, done.

Name, email and, if you want it, a mobile number. Nothing else is asked unless you ask it.

Several tiers in one order, priced server-side so a tampered link cannot change what is chargedYour own questions asked once at checkout, with the answers kept against the bookingA discount code box that says exactly why a code was refusedA free order, or one a discount takes to zero, skips payment entirelyOne ticket and one QR per line, so a two-tier order arrives as two tickets

The money

It is paid to you, not to us.

Your own Stripe account

Connected in a few minutes. Payouts go to your bank on Stripe's normal schedule, and we never hold your funds.

Card details never reach us

The card is entered into Stripe's own payment element. Nothing sensitive touches our servers.

6% plus $1 a ticket

All in, card processing included. Nothing monthly, and nothing at all in a month you sell nothing.

After the sale

The ticket, the reminder, the thank-you.

Every booking gets a confirmation with the details, a QR ticket and a short reference. A reminder goes out the day before, another two hours ahead with the QR again, and a thank-you afterwards. None of it needs you.

You get told too: an email on the first booking, and again as the room passes half full, four fifths and sold out.

Your turn

Put your first program up free.

Ninety seconds to set up, no credit card, and nothing to cancel if you never sell a ticket.
