Why we do it
We are paid out of halaqahs, courses, iftars and fundraising dinners. Taking a share of that and keeping all of it did not sit right. So a tenth of it leaves again.
It is built into the fee, not a promise. The amount shows in the pricing calculator before you sell a single ticket.
How it works
01
You name the charity when you set up your workspace. Your choice, not a shortlist of ours, and you can change it any time.
02
At the end of each quarter we add up what we earned from your programs and set aside a tenth. Your takings are untouched.
03
It is given on behalf of your organisation, not ours, and you get a statement to show your committee.
To be plain about it
The tenth comes out of our share. Choosing a charity never changes what a ticket costs.
This is our sadaqah, not yours. It does not count toward your own obligations.
Each statement names the charity, the amount and the period, so a treasurer can file it.
